Wild weeks

Kaashvi, Age 11

My pandemic story is kind of wild. I had a temporary family member. Pretty wild, huh? It was January 2021, a few weeks before my birthday. I wanted a dog. It was my tenth birthday and I had never gotten an amazing gift like this. Fast forward, my parents got me a dog on the 6th. My birthday is on the 25th. We had so much fun together. Leo and I were inseparable. My mom on the other hand wasn’t so fond of him. She thought it was way too much work, and I kind of agreed with her. My mom, dad and brother were at the vet the day before he left. My brother and my mom were sitting in the car, on the phone with the vet. “So, he is leaving tomorrow, right?” Boom goes the fireworks. Yup, he was leaving tomorrow.

The next day came, he got a bath and wore his favorite, and only sweater. And then at around 11:00, my parents had set off to Downtown with him. See ya, Leo.

A few things aren’t permanent, but permanent or not, cherish them. You don’t know what the next day has to offer.
