Tornado dog

By Judy, Age 11

Covid started when I was in third grade. One month later it reached Canada. I moved twice and the second house allowed dogs. When fourth grade ended, my family decided to get a dog. I know having a dog sounds super fun and everything, but when you realize what you have to do in order to take care of your dog, you might want to think twice. Taking care of him was like taking care of a tornado.

I think he kind of represents Covid. If you only look at his mistakes, he’s a literal monster. But once you get to know him, he’s actually nice. For me Covid is something you have to go through for your real life to begin. Life is scary sometimes, and everyone needs to learn that eventually. Now my dog is way more mature, and his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle stage is over. I really hope Covid will be over soon too.
