A book that made me finally seen is Thirst by Varsha Bajaj. The protagonist, Minnie, and her family were struggling to get water. This reminded me of what happened to my family and me. My mom and dad  always tell me “don’t waste water, turn the water off.” They say this so they can save money. I realized that it was really hard to get water for Minnie, and my mom told me the same thing. There are people who don’t get a single bit of water, so that’s why my mom says, “We are lucky, other people aren’t.” Some people have to carry water and get it to their houses, but we have taps, so we don’t have to worry about wasting water. This is how I was finally seen in a book.
