Things getting back

It was only 10 days after my birthday, I was 10. We were told lockdown would only be for two weeks. Yeah, right. We started lockdown optimistic, most of us were excited to not be in school. We ended up buying masks and gloves, though we weren’t going anywhere. I hadn’t seen my best friend in weeks. And we were neighbors. Fast forward a couple of weeks, we’re still in lockdown. We had just gotten a dog after not having a dog for two years. My best friend and I were masked, 10 feet apart, gloved, and throwing a frisbee. This was revolutionary. April 2021! I get back in school and see friends that disappeared from my life, and had the best summer EVER in Colorado. 

This year we are fully in person, and it’s great! I have new and old friends, and many clubs. Masks just came off at school, and vaccines are accessible.  I think things are finally getting better. (Knock on wood)
