The good things

By Arnav, age 11

There have been a gazillion horrible things in this pandemic. For example, the deaths, the fear, and many more. However, take a moment to think about the good things.

At home I could bond with my relatives a whole lot more, like hanging out with my cousin, or burst out laughing with my dad about a book we read.

My story began on a nice sunny day in March, 2020. In school we were handed work and sent home all in a rush. After that moment bad things happened, for over two years, but a surge of morality made some goodness come into view. At home I could bond with my relatives a whole lot more, like hanging out with my cousin, or burst out laughing with my dad about a book we read. Additionally, I got a lot of time to be more creative. Particularly LEGOS, like the 6.7ft lower I made, as well as the fishing rod that actually worked (by picking up toys not fish)! Plus during the pandemic I learned how it felt to have a broken bone (which for some reason was exciting). Anyhow, everyday I hoped for this virus to stop annoying us, besides what harm did we do to it, yet I also wished for the good things to still keep on going and going…
