This was the best summer I ever experienced and it was during covid–which is probably surprising since most things during covid were so boring. My neighbors and I played with each other in our garages, since we couldn’t go inside. We also went to a friend’s pool every day but had to stay 6 feet. It was fun!
We made up new games and laughed as we ate cookies. Even though we had to stay apart, we felt closer than ever. When it was super hot out, we played in the sprinklers and sprayed each other. At lunch time, we had a picnic lunch, but we all had to stay on our own towel which kind of stunk. For my birthday, I invited a few friends. We painted ceramic owls outside, opened gifts, ate cake, and laughed, like a normal non covid party! There was also a pool party where we watched the live action Mulan outside on a big screen while we swam. There were colorful lights which lit up the party.
