Strength from family
By Simona, age 11
It was a normal school day but then my teacher said, “Ok class be prepared for going online tomorrow, all classwork will be put online.” That’s when it all changed. The next day my teacher posted stuff in google classroom and we had to do everything on google docs. A few weeks passed and at that point, I was so bored that I felt like even school didn’t matter. Even though my schoolwork was posted on Google classroom, I felt like I didn’t really need to do it even though there were due dates on it. When I needed to turn it in, what I had to do seemed endless. A few more weeks and months passed and then the summer break happened so I finally thought the virus would go away. But the virus was still here. I really wanted to see my cousins and friends and fortunately I could see my cousins because they lived very close to each other. When we did get to see each other, we would have little and big game plans such as Hide and Seek at each other’s Neighbors. Even though the virus is still here, time with my family has given me the strength. I’m sure we will all work through it together always.
