Running with Hope

By Ansel, Age 11

When covid was around, everything was terrible. The online learning was terrible. It was annoying to have to get on Teams every morning and go to breakout rooms every day. You also had to eat your lunch virtually every day. Running changed all of that. When you run you leave every bad or annoying thing behind and just run–run through yards with vines reaching up to the sky, run through gardens with carrot and tomato plants taking over the yard–just run. And run is what I did.  So, 2020 flew by so fast, almost all I could think of was running the next day and the day after that.

Running was what gave me hope.  Running was what made me happy.

Running was what gave me hope.  Running was what made me happy.
