The pandemic is a hard and stressful time, with people taping hearts on their windows to show appreciation to the health care workers. But the truth is, we didn’t hang them up only for the doctors and nurses, but also for ourselves, to give hope to your family and yourself. For me, the pandemic started out as a nightmare. Everyone was scared, nervous, and worried for their safety. Schools started shutting down, stores closed, and it seemed like the end of the world. as soon as I heard about our pandemic puppy, I was literally jumping for joy! I immediately started to brainstorm names for her: Raina, Jewel, Daisy, Oxy, Summer, Tilly, Lillie, Mixy, Roxie, and many more. We had to figure out what type of puppy we wanted. We decided to go with a Portuguese water dog, and the day she came, my life had officially begun. My dog brought me hope.
