Pool Adventure

By Cole, Age 11

Splish! Splash! I had a blast…but not at first. While quarantined, I was down about not playing with my friends. To help with this, I had to get a little creative about my break times. Since we have a pool, I decided to use it. One activity I did was play basketball in the pool. We have a basketball goal made for the pool, so I shot the ball many times. Another activity I enjoyed was diving into the deep end. I really improved my form. I also chose to swim laps for cardio. There’s nothing better than getting a full-body workout! I also played with underwater rings. I threw them in and timed how fast I could collect them. As a relaxing midday break, I sat in the hot tub and enjoyed a water massage. Getting back into the action, I launched my torpedo into the deep end and dove in to find it. Leaving the depths of the pool, I surfed up top on my boogie board. After all of this action, I calmed myself by floating on a noodle in the soothing water.

Learning to be creative with what I had was a lifesaver!
