Pandemic Affect

By Henry, Age 10

In the early months of the virus, it was a normal day. I had been coughing for about two days. As a result, my mom drives me to a COVID-19 testing building. Fear and terror were filling up my body, making me shake like it was very cold. The doctor finally comes in with a swab to test me. The cotton swab goes up my nose until the doctor pulls it out. After being afraid that I got the virus, results came in saying that I tested positive. Instantly, my brain and mind went crazy in distraught. As days went by, I started not to worry that much about the virus. With the help of my family, they tried to distract me from the virus and make it so that I would feel like I never ever had the virus which worked. Quarantine ended, and I finally felt normal again.
