My Sister and I

By Willa, Age 10

During the pandemic, having to stay home and wear a mask in public places was annoying and still is, but there was one thing that made it better. Since I was doing school online, I could travel to my sister’s house. I usually don’t get to see her a lot because she doesn’t live with me. At her house, I watched movies like Encanto or Mickey Mouse with my nephew. It felt nice to talk to my sister about school and friends because I was able to get all my emotions out. Speaking of my nephew, he is a toddler who likes to play outside and run around a lot. He is funny and loves to laugh. Also, he is polite! He says thank you if you give him something and he keeps saying it until you respond.

My sister and I are so much closer now. I don’t like COVID, but in a way the pandemic did lead to some good things.
