My Pandemic Diary
By Ryanne, age 10
Dear diary,
Today was like any other day. I went to school and organized some things; like my auditions for the play me and some friends are doing… but then I turned on the TV to listen to the covid announcement. Our prime minister said we were going into lockdown. My first thought was this is the end of the world as we know it. Soon I realized that I would get lots of family time.
I am a social person; I need people, I am allergic to not being around others!
Biking and nonstop zoom calls were basically our schedule . After about a week my life was so boring!!! I am a social person; I need people, I am allergic to not being around others! So after nearly 28 seconds of thinking I decided that it would be a good idea to practice drawing in gymnastics poses and with my feet. (If you know me, that is just a normal idea!) I thought that I could give it to my poppa so that his lockdown wasn’t as bad as mine. Wait a moment… lockdown is what you make it and I want it to be a good experience. So with that thought my lockdown became the best version that it could be.
