My Life During the Covid-19 Pandemic
By: Samantha, Age 11
Once I heard about the news of staying home I was so excited— the ability to stay home and not go anywhere seemed amazing. Well unfortunately, I was wrong. Going to school virtually, millions of people getting sick, and staying home most of the time was frustrating and difficult for all of us. The fact of hearing about people hurting upset me. We had to social distance, which meant I could not see my friends or the people special to me anymore. Thankfully I was still in good health, with a roof over my head, and good education. However, learning at home was still challenging. I was struggling a little bit with the distractions at home as well. Even though the virus infected my life so much I was able to get some laughs out of it. Like having small jokes with my brother, my best friend, and my family. Even when times are tough the special people in my life are always there for me.
Although some people still need to be quarantined, I learned that it is okay to struggle, but it isn’t okay to give up.
