My Caving Adventure

Last summer, we went to Tennessee and stayed in a cabin with my dad’s friend and his kids . They were like family.  It was fun, but once we went caving it went to a whole new level.  We put on our gear and headed to a small metal door going into what seemed like a big rock. Then we went down a small flight of metal stairs and landed on the swampy floor. My shoes got stuck to the mud! I wore my good shoes! As my parents were pulling my shoes out, I saw something move that looked like a lizard. We kept walking. Then I saw more spiders on a wall than I could count.

We saw some beautiful rocks on the way including a fossilized jaguar paw print. Eventually, we came across a rocky path. I slipped and fell but thankfully my mom caught me like a superhero.  We walked for about 4 hours. As the caving trip came to an end, I had an overall (adrenaline filled) great time! I’m glad I made it out alive!
