How far music has brought me

The Pandemic has introduced me to many things that I would never know of! When the lockdown hit, I was bored out of my mind, so I decided to pick up a new hobby–something I had given up before: MUSIC. I didn’t take any lessons, I would just go on Youtube and look up tutorials and practice for what felt like ages. At times, I wanted to give up more than anything…but I kept trying! The more that I practiced, the better I got.

Playing music is now my favorite thing to do. It brings me just as much joy as when Mia’s working behind the “Front Desk!” Whenever Mia started playing the piano in the library, I really connected with her and knew how she felt after not playing since she lived in China. I felt just like her whenever I started playing piano for the first time again. Now, I play piano in front of crowds/people. And doing so really inspires me and gives me such much hope. It’s amazing how far I’ve come and the journey I’ve been on, hopefully that journey continues!
