Hope

By Roshan, 3rd grade

One typical day my father was watching the morning news. He saw hundreds of people at the hospital. I heard covid-19 as I was getting ready for school. I didn’t seem too worried, but 2 days later my teacher started to teach us how to get onto a class meeting on the computer. We started to go remote.

During summer break we planned to go to England but due to covid-19, we couldn’t go! Now I was getting kind of worried. My grandma died of old age a few months later. My favorite time with her was 4 years ago when we got to England because we could spend 1 week there. I was sad and I was really hoping things would turn around for me and my family. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse it did. My family got covid! I thought one of us would pass away since we could not even eat at the same table! But all of us made it through covid. Now we have to wear masks but me and my family will still be happy and have hope because we’re in rough times but we will be strong and positive.
