Hope in day to day life

By Nida, Age 13

Everyone’s life begins to get interesting at one point, whether that is during a pandemic or at an ice cream shop. Of course, many people would choose an ice cream shop as a life changing option over a pandemic, but during a pandemic you learn many new things.

During the beginning of the pandemic, I wasn’t too worried, but when we went off for March Break and didn’t go back, I realized it was serious. School was out immediately, and we had little time to prepare for online. You couldn’t see your friends and family or go to restaurants anymore, but there was still hope. I picked up new hobbies like drawing and baking. I got Covid itself along the way, and even during that time me and my family made the best of it. We finished the Hobbit movies in a week, and trust me, those movies are long. We went back to school eventually with masks and protocols, but it was better than not going at all. They even opened restrictions so you can visit other people again.

In this fast-turning virtual world, the pandemic made me realize that human interaction is needed for healthy development.
