Hope for Better Days
By Max, Age 10
About 2 years ago, I was sitting at the dinner table eating with my family after a good day at school. That day at school was the last normal day of school for me around that time. We didn’t have to wear masks, stand six feet apart, or anything like that. But at that dinner table, my dad told me that we weren’t going to school tomorrow. At first, I was happy but then I realized that it was for a reason: covid-19. I was confused at first because I didn’t really know what it was. I really hoped that it would all be ok and it would eventually end but It didn’t. At that very moment, I was really scared. A couple months later, It was across the entire world. There were also other things that were scary like no toilet paper. However, at the end of the day, I will keep hope that everything will get better.
