It was a rainy day, like the world was crying about something. Carrying my umbrella, I walked into the main door and found my teacher’s worried face. That day, during morning meeting, our teacher,
Mrs. Yanisiew, told us that a new virus had spread. So, my friends and I tried to have fun knowing that we
had to say goodbye soon. A day later, we started having online learning. Online learning was
different from what I thought it would be. It was boring, and plus, I
couldn’t even see my friend’s faces because of the bad internet
connection. Finally, it was the last day of school, and I was leaving to Shanghai,
which technically meant that I would have to leave behind my shimmering friends. Days later, it was time to go to Beijing, without even saying goodbye. Fresh tears welled in my eyes as I took a last glance at
Shanghai up in the sky. That night on the plane, I saw the faces of my
friends smiling in the shimmering sky.
And through this experience, I have learned that once a friend always a friend.
