I am the parent or legal guardian of ______ ("Submitter") who has made a submission to the FINALLY SEEN What Book Makes Me Feel Finally Seen? Story Opportunity ("Submission") and agree as follows on behalf of the Submitter. I consent to the Submitter’s participation. The Submission is the original work of the Submitter and does not infringe on the intellectual property and privacy rights of any other person. I have read the Submission and agree on behalf of myself and the Submitter for the Submission to be published. I hereby grant Kelly Yang, her affiliates, associates, agents and contractors ("Kelly Yang") the irrevocable and unrestricted non-exclusive right to use the Submission in any manner without compensation. I understand that as an author, Kelly Yang may come up with ideas that may be similar to my Submission in theme, idea, plot or format in a future work. I understand that I will not be entitled to compensation because of the use of any such similar or identical material if such material is created independently by Kelly Yang.

If the Submission includes any intellectual property, I hereby grant Yang a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to that intellectual property. The Submission may be edited for spelling, grammar, diction, and length, and the Submitter may not have an opportunity to review the final Submission before publication. I hereby release and forever discharge Kelly Yang and all others from any and all claims, demands, damages and liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use or distribution of the Submission, including but not limited to any claims for invasion of privacy, appropriation of likeness or defamation. I agree to indemnify Kelly Yang and all others involved in the publishing project from any and all damages, liabilities, costs or expenses which may arise from the breach by Submitter, parent or legal guardian of any of the foregoing.
