The pandemic has taken a toll on everyone as well as changed our lives in ways we could have never imagined. There have been many pros and cons about Covid, but I want to share some of the pros. When the pandemic struck, all schools were forced to shut down and transfer to online. Everyday, I would wake up and join a Zoom meeting to attend school. This was a big change for me. Fortunately, there was an upside. I had so much more time to pursue my passions like art, golfing and dancing, since going to after-school wasn’t necessary. My parents also started working from home and they had so much more time to spend with my sister and me.
My family started a tradition to have a game night every Friday and we got hooked on playing Rummikub! We bonded so much and created so many memories that I will cherish forever. Looking back, these are some of the standout moments that weren’t completely terrible in 2021. These are some of the little things that brought a smile to my face and helped me get through this never ending pandemic.
