Dragons
By Elena, Age 10
Now, I know many of you will not understand this, but I sure do. When the pandemic started, we sadly had to go virtual. It was super hard on me. My grades were dropping like rocks off a cliff. Luckily, I had the dragons to help me out. Now they obviously weren’t real but they helped me as much as a human would if not more. After class, it got to the point where I knew that no matter what I did, I would get horrible grades. So everyday after class, I would get my dragons. I have stuffed dragons, figures, bed sheets…I even had curtains! Now, I like all dragons, don’t get me wrong, but How to Train Your Dragon, now that was the winner! I would voice them and talk to them about what I was worried about including my grades. I had one dragon that saved my life. I named it Irradessa (Ira-des-a). She was a plushie and I would talk to her for so long.
