Crafts in covid

By Camila, Age 11

I never imagined myself in a pandemic. So many things happened in these past two years. We went on lockdown and schools were closed. We couldn’t go outside or hang out with our friends. But after all the chaos some good things happened. I got a dog. I spent more time with my family and discovered my love for cooking, doing crafts, and biking. At the beginning of quarantine I had nothing to do and so I redecorated my room. One of the crafts I did was get an old mason jar, painted the inside white and on the outside I painted it with glow in the dark paint and wrote my name and it looked so nice. But school over Zoom was the absolute worst. I didn’t know how to do anything on the iPad. It was so hard to turn in homework and to keep up with all of it. It’s still hard but things got a little bit easier. Now fast forward to 2022. Now we’re back in school in person, we don’t have to wear a mask outside, and I get to hang out with my friends. So life is better.
