Bad, to Good, to Great!

By Danielle, age 10

I walked out of school like usual, I went in the car then my parents told me that something big happened… We are going into lockdown. My face turned to stone.

Time passed and I wasn’t getting used to this. Online zoom meetings every morning… It just didn’t feel right. More time passed and I didn’t go back to school. I kept telling myself that this will end tomorrow but it didn’t, my hope was fading. Day after day, night after night, it didn’t end. I kind of got used to it but not entirely. Some people might have been the same as me. Even though I missed friends and school, I still had some hope in me that it was going to be fine. On walks most people put teddy bears on their windowsill. It was nice to see people being kind to others and making others happy. All of a sudden it didn’t seem so bad; things started to spiral up instead of down! Lockdown was not that bad after all! Reading new books, Zoom meetings with friends, and playing with my dog!!!! Family time was GREAT.  In the pandemic I learned how to entertain myself and had many other great times!!!
