Art in the Pandemic

By Mary, Age 11

When covid hit, I was in fourth grade and things were tough. I was bored and there wasn’t much to entertain my hyperactive ADHD brain. That’s when I started to draw. At first I was pretty bad. My drawings looked creepy and incomplete. When I started practicing more and more my drawings got better, not great but better. I also started to get serious about my drawing and it started to become my dream to make art on the internet as a career. This was also the time I discovered fan-art and it was all I wanted to look at and draw. I look at Pinterest for inspiration and tips.

I don’t think if this pandemic happened I would have found my passion for drawing and for that, I’m grateful for the pandemic and hopeful for the future.
