Have you ever thought about how hard it would be to take piano lessons, soccer classes, and a theater class online at home? During the pandemic I had to do all that through a screen!
When I logged into my first theater class, I didn’t know what to expect. What would I do? How would we learn anything? But I realized that it wasn’t as it seemed. Our teacher had us play games that also taught us improv. After a while we got to see each other in person.
Imagine taking soccer lessons on a computer in your garage. It was really difficult at first. During dribbling practice, our coach would tell us to set up cones around our garage. He said that like we had those materials. It was not my favorite.
My first ever piano lesson was through a Zoom meeting. I really loved it! My teacher was really kind. Although I couldn’t tell if I was getting the notes right. It’s hard to hear through a screen. Now I can finally take piano in person.
Now if I ever have to do this again, I know what I’m getting into. I bet my teachers do too.
