A Tale of Sorcery

By Georgia, Age 12

Whether you’re traveling a science fiction realm packed with monsters and adventure or sliding down a waterslide to a world that just hits close to home, the book that makes me feel seen would have to be A Tale of Sorcery by Chris Colfer. This action-packed adventure full of magic and mayhem leaves me stunned every time I finish. The sweet romance, the left-out feeling, the need to fit in and change things about yourself to feel like you’re part of something, makes me feel like the characters could easily get me if they were real. If someone asked me what character I relate to in the book, I would say Brystal, who feels left out almost all the time, and then eventually learns just how to live life.
