Our NEWS Channel

We drove five long hours to another city because our Mom was in the hospital getting surgery. She made it through safely, and didn’t get COVID! My older sister and I wanted to do something special for her. Being in a hotel, there weren’t many options, but finally we decided to make a news channel–with ads and everything. My sister wrote down what she was going to say on a clipboard (it makes it look more believable) “and, action!” We filmed. She talked about the fact that our mom was thought to have stayed in the hospital for another long day, eating disgusting food, but came out a day early, and was able to eat all the food that friends gave us as a gift when she was in the hospital. When she came back from the hospital, we showed the channel to our mom and she loved watching it! I know COVID has been rough for all of us, but through the darkest of times we can find light.

We’ve made it this far, so let’s push ahead, stay strong, and find the good and beauty in everything. After hardship comes ease. Never lose hope.
