My Marvelous Birthday

It was 2 more weeks until my birthday! Though you may think I should be excited and enthusiastic, I wasn’t. I was really hoping my birthday would come later in the year and NOT in 2 weeks. Who doesn’t like having a birthday party? This year, I was not so eager for my birthday. There was this pandemic called Covid-19 that was spreading rapidly. There was no cure yet and so many people were dying but the virus had just begun. Everybody says it’s so dangerous and now we have to wear masks everywhere and we have a strict lockdown. Unfortunately, for me, time was flying by and before I knew it, my birthday was tomorrow and Covid-19 was spreading instantaneously. There was no way it would go away before my birthday. But I still held on to hope.

Maybe Covid-19 wouldn’t go away but I still I had my marvelous family. My dad always planned a surprise for me, Covid or not, and my mom would make delicious food and my brother would give me a gift like everyone else in my family. Soon enough, my birthday came by but it was AMAZING and so fun!
